These pages contain a variety of maps and diagrams documenting the history of the race track that were prepared by Saratoga Associates in preparation for the construction on the Racecourse. Hopefully, NYRA will realize that research and historical documentation is not something to be created and used exclusively to meet their legal obligations. Rather, they will realize that they are sitting on, and not using, material of great interest to existing and potential fans.
All of these files are pdf files (Adobe Portable Document Format) since this was the only way to preserve them without loosing detail.
Please note that these were rather quick scans of documents that NYRA had Saratoga Associates prepare for presentation to the State Historic Preservation Office. I believe I'm doing NYRA a favor by publicizing them. The kindest view I can take is that they, (NYRA) are terribly unaware of the importance of the history of the track to Horse Racing fans.
